La Côte d’Ivoire et le Sénégal, respectivement deuxième et troisième adversaires de la RDC dans le groupe B du CHAN 2023, ont chacun livré un match amical le lundi 9 janvier 2023.

A Tunis, les Ivoiriens ont été douchés par les Mauritaniens (0-3) grâce à des buts de Moulaye Ahmed Bessam (sur penalty), de Hemeya Tanjy et de Bouna Amar.

Les Éléphants sont complètement passés à côté de la plaque lors de leur troisième rencontre amicale comptant pour les préparatifs au CHAN 2023. Ils restent tout de même sur une victoire face aux Libyens (1-0) et un nul contre les Camerounais (1-1).

Quant aux Lions de la Teranga du Sénégal, ils ont eu raison du Congo Brazzaville sur la plus petite des scores (1-0) grâce à la réalisation de Lamine Camara dès la 5e minute de jeu. Bien avant de se mesurer aux Diables rouges, les Lions sénégalais ont fait jeu égal (0-0) avec les Menas du Niger.

Pour rappel, la 7ème édition du CHAN s’ouvre en Algérie le 13 janvier et ira jusqu’au 4 février prochain. Pour la première fois, la compétition réunit 18 pays dans la course à la succession du Maroc, double tenant du titre.
